Playing for two of the biggest Melbourne-based AFL clubs throughout his 258-game career, Dale Thomas certainly played with some big names.
Daisy counted down the 10 best players he played with, breaking down his top five from the Pies, the Blues, and rounding it out with an overall top five.
While he said it was ‘no real surprise’ that he named Scott Pendlebury as the best player he took to the field with at Collingwood, Daisy hinted that he did consider demoting the Pies champion to second:
“I was nearly putting him at two with Dane Swan, because I’m still a little bit pissed off that he got the Norm Smith [in 2010]!
“If you had’ve done it over two weeks, it should’ve been me, but anyway, he didn’t rock up the first week and played really well the second!”
