A truck crashed into a kindergarten on Main Road in Riddells Creek, north-west of Melbourne, on Monday afternoon, killing one adult and injuring a child.
The incident occurred around 2:20pm, when the truck collided with the kindergarten building.
Emergency services quickly arrived on the scene, confirming that an adult, yet to be formally identified, had died on-site.

A young child sustained serious upper body injuries and was transported to the Royal Children’s Hospital.
According to the emergency services, the child’s injuries are serious but not life-threatening.
The truck driver was taken to the Royal Melbourne Hospital for observation.
Police have launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
No charges have been laid over the incident so far.
