Greg Lynn has lodged an appeal for his 32-year jail sentence for the murder of Carol Clay at a campsite in Victoria four years ago.
A jury ruled he was guilty of killing the Victorian retiree at Wonnangatta Valley, but found he was not guilty of the murder of her lover, Russell Hill.

A jury found Lynn shot Clay in the head and then placed her and Hill’s bodies into a trailer before driving them to a remote bush track.
Lynn returned seven months later after the COVID-19 lockdown lifted to burn their remains.
He admitted burning the bodies but denied the two charges of murder, claiming the two deaths were accidental.
Defence lawyers have argued the jury must have used flawed logic to find Lynn guilty of one murder charge, but not guilty of the other.
Lawyers also claimed that prosecutors made allegations about Lynn without giving him a chance to respond.
