Australians are being urged to contact their airlines as major flight delays from Australia to the United Kingdom have been reported.
The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade have revealed that a significant system failure has caused flight delays across the country.
National Air Traffic Services reported that they are unable to put in flight maths automatically and now have to manually enter each path causing delays.

Both arrivals and departures across the country have been affected with the manual input process taking approximately three hours.
The European air traffic authority have warned of a “very high” number of delays in and out of the United Kingdom.
NATS have since issued a statement saying they are “working closely with airlines and airports to manage the flights affected as efficiently as possible”. NATS Operation Director Juliet Kennedy said a full investigation into the source of the technical issues will be established.
