Rugby league great James Graham has called for the Dragons to give Des Hasler a chance after the club missed out on Jason Ryles amid its highly publicised coaching search.
LISTEN HERE:
Graham, who was coached under Hasler at the Bulldogs, believes the premiership-winning coach is best suited to handling negative headlines and “bringing a group together” as the club finds itself embroiled in negative publicity.
However, Graham’s plea comes amid a rumoured shortlist that doesn’t include the former Bulldogs and Manly coach, with the likes of Ben Hornby, Dean Young, John Morris and Shane Flanagan leading the race according to News Corp.
“It’s negative headline after negative headline [at the Dragons]. Des has a really nack of bringing a group together,” Graham said on Triple M’s Sunday Sin Bin.
