Footy Talk League is back for 2025 and Adam Peacock welcomed both Michael Chammas and Phil “Buzz” Rothfield for the first episode of the year.
The pair of rugby league journos got into a big debate about whether old school tactics still work in the current times during pre-season.
Focusing on army camps and new Brisbane Broncos coach Michael Maguire, footage emerged late last year of players vomiting at training, as they were put through gruelling sessions in the sweltering Queensland sun aiming to rectify a horrible 2024 campaign.
But Buzz disagreed with the “old-school” approach lamenting that the schedule for players is far tougher than it ever has been.
Whilst Chammas defended Maguire, stating that the Broncos need a complete reset after falling off a cliff after making the Grand Final in 2023.
