The future of Lachlan Ilias at South Sydney is in doubt after the Bunnies signed St Helens halfback Lewis Todd from the Super League.
Brent Read revealed that Lachlan Ilias’ position at the club for next season is unknown after the Bunnies won the race for the English halbacks signature.
“Lewis Todd is a young halfback that plays for St Helens in the Super League, there’s been a few clubs interested in him in the NRL but he’s opted to join South Sydney next year.” said Read
“So that obviously has ramifications for Lachlan Ilias in terms of his future I’d imagine at South Sydney.”
“He’s got a big reputation over in England and he’s been keen to come out to Australia and test himself in the NRL, we’ll have to see the ripple effect of that because I imagine there will be some.”
