Parramatta are sticking solid behind embattled coach Brad Arthur, despite Wayne Bennett reportedly showing interest in taking over the reigns at the Eels.
Ryan Girdler believes that the Parramatta board may be wary of having someone with Wayne’s power and influence infiltrating the club.
“Parramatta are definitely in a window at the moment…I feel like they need another voice
or another influence to take them to the next level.” said Girdler
“Maybe the board at Parramatta don’t want some as influential as Wayne coming in.”
“I mean the commercial partnerships that might be going well, the league clubs
might be running well but you ask the hundreds of thousands of Parramatta fans out there that haven’t won a title since 86 – They want to win, they want to win the title.”
