Dyson Heppell swung by the studio and joined The Rush Hour with JB and Billy, giving the boys an insight into the pre-season at the Hangar and the player he thinks will dominate 2023.
DYSON HEPPELL’S ‘KEY FIGURE’ AT THE DONS:
“Another guy that’s semi been cruising along under the radar but has nearly cemented himself as a key figure is Will Setterfield coming across from the Blues.
“[He’s a] Massive get I feel, he’s brought a lot of hardness around the pill, and he’s been really composed.
“I’ve just enjoyed training alongside him and seeing what he can do.”

Heppell also touched on the Davey twins, of which Alwyn has had a “super” pre-season and is in line for an early season debut.
“Alwyn’s flying, he’s played a couple of our praccy matches and has had a super, super summer of a pre-season.”
With the rise of Jye Menzie and return of fan favourite Anthony McDonald-Tipungwuti, Heppell thinks the Dons have covered a deficiency of the club’s stemming from last season.
“I think it’s going to be a pretty potent small forward line which will be exciting.”
Heppell also spoke about his engagement with long-time partner Kate Turner, cult hero Sam Draper and when he’s expecting to return after his foot sprain suffered against the Suns two weeks ago.
