Brad Haddin Explains His Infamous Dismissal In Australia’s 47 All Out Collapse In South Africa In 2011

Speaking on the latest episode of Willow Talk, Brad Haddin addressed his infamous dismissal in Australia’s wild collapse to 47 all out in the 2011 Cape Town test.

“I remember coming in at 6/15, I thought ‘I’ve gotta do something different here’, Hads said.

“I sort of charged down, tried to play a beautiful shot… you know when people say it’s 6/15, you gotta get your way through that?

“Sometimes you gotta be brave and move the game, and change what everyone’s thinking, and all of a sudden you get the momentum back.

“But this time when it was meant to go over cover, it just went a little fine — edge to the keeper.”

For what it’s worth, Hads’s memory is slightly off: when he walked to the wicket the Aussies were five down for 15, not six.
