After a 15-year-old boy discharged a firearm at Atlantis Beach Baptist College in Two Rocks yesterday, Amy, a mother with two young children at the school, shares her perspective on Xav and Michelle for Breakfast.
“I had a bit of a rough night last night with a year 3 but that’s to be a little bit expected,” Amy said on Xav and Michelle for Breakfast.
Michelle asks how Amy found out about the incident.
“I got a few missed calls and messages, so I raced home, got my husband and we went straight down to the school…they were in complete lockdown still.”
“The school handled it absolutely amazing.”
“I found out later on in the day my Kindy kid was out in the playground when the shots were fired.”
Xav asks whether the shooter was known to the parents.
“I’m under the impression, yes, a former student but we don’t know obviously names…I’m just hoping this isn’t a failure from mental health system.”
