Johnson argues an uneven pre-season has played a role in the veteran’s slow start to the season.
“Reasons behind that is partly due to his off-season, not at full fitness, had a foot injury, hotspot in the foot, missed big chunks of the pre-season”
It marks the first time in Hawkins’ 354-game career he has been kept goalless across a four-game span.
