Melbourne Rock Icon James Young Provides An Update On The AC/DC 2024 Rumours

Melbourne rock icon James Young dropped an update on the Marty Sheargold Show about the rumours surrounding AC/DC in 2024.

JAMES YOUNG’S UPDATE ON THE AC/DC 2024 RUMOURS:

Young got the mail from the roadies who’d worked on Paul McCartney’s Melbourne show, who happen to be the same crew who tour with AC/DC.

“I love roadies more than I love bands, because the roadies come into Cherry (Young’s famous rock bar Cherry Bar in the Melbourne CBD), they buy their own drinks… they come back in two months later with a different band,” he said to Lehmo, filling in for Marty.

“We had Paul McCartney’s band in, the Paul McCartney crew, and they’re also were the crew for AC/DC, and AC/DC recently played at Power Trip in California…”

MORE ON AC/DC:

Young said he got to talking to the crew, who remembered his bar and him, and they let slip the gossip.

“We were chatting away to these guys, and they said… ‘we’ll be back next year, because AC/DC are booked in to tour Australia and New Zealand next year in 2024’.”

Young also had details on the exact set list the Aussie rock legends will play.

“I’ll just let you know that it’s 50/50 Brian Johnson and Bon Scott,” he said.

MORE ON AC/DC’S TOUR HISTORY:

Young stressed that this is not an official announcement of an AC/DC tour.

“All we’re doing is creating the momentum for the inevitable formal announcement,” he said.

“I’m not sure when that will happen… but don’t doubt its veracity.”
