Jay Clark joined the Rush Hour with Bernie, Blewey and Jars and offered an update on the AFL’s search for a new CEO.
With the club presidents and CEOs set to meet today, Jay Z says there is some unrest at clubland around Gill’s potential replacement, and when he’ll depart.
“There’s a feeling amongst clubland that the AFL actually want him to stay… how many millions is it going to take to keep Gillon McLachlan?
“There are some complex issues at the moment with the Hawthorn investigation of course, with Tasmania and needing to get about $375 million from Albo and the Federal Government to get a new team up and running at the 19th licence.
“At this stage he will be departing at some point this year, they’re just not sure when.”
