Daisy Thomas made a bet last week that he’d rock up to the Midweek Rub in a full Carlton kit if the Blues got up over Port Adelaide on Saturday – and today held true to his word.
DAISY ROCKS UP TO THE MIDWEEK RUB IN FULL CARLTON KIT:
“I thought Port Adelaide was gonna roll out a side that didn’t resemble the Port Magpies,” Daisy said in his defence of the tip.
“Then I wasn’t exactly expecting Jesse Motlop just to turn into Gary Ablett Jr, and Jack Silvagni to morph into Wayne Carey all of a sudden!
“You’ve got Jacob Weitering playing like Glenn Jakovich, and you got bloody Nic Newman off half back turn into Andrew McLeod!”

Daisy told us that he paid full market price for the kit — despite playing 101 games for the Blues between 2013 and 2019.
“I went to my storage shed that’s got all my old stuff in it, and the jumper — touch too tight,” Daisy said.
“So I wandered into the AFL store, and you should have seen the look on the young girl’s face in there when I started asking for Carlton tops and long-sleeves… $120 bucks, no discount!”
