Blues and Panthers great Ryan Girdler believes Brad Fittler will need to figure out the combinations between his two playmakers and skipper James Tedesco following the Blues’ 26-18 Game I loss to the Maroons.
LISTEN HERE:
Girdler explained why he believes Tedesco, the Blues fullback, found himself in positions during Game I where he was the wrong guy receiving the ball.
“I’m yet to see the Jarome Luai, Nathan Cleary and James Tedesco combination work. I don’t think they’re in sync,” Girdler said on Triple M’s NRL coverage.
“There were a couple of times where Tedesco went into first receiver. I really don’t believe he should get into first receiver.”
