You read that right, Gorden Tallis (who was just picked by QLD to play in Origin game two back in 1994) was stuck in an all night bonding session with the blues!
What all started as a friendly cold one with Goeff Carr, Manager of the Blues at the time, very quickly went sideways when a few mates arrived.
“Benny Elias was feeding me shots” is how Gordie describes the event. “I walked out at 2:30am after NSW lubricated me a fair bit” is probably the more accurate description.
Gordie has more stories on the way, so make sure you check out the daily Footy Talk League podcast!
