David Fifita could be on his way to the 3 time premiers, with the Panthers reportedly making the Titans superstar an offer to join the club for next season.
Brent Read elaborated on the news on Triple M’s Monday Scrum.
“I’ve said on the show a couple of times that I thought I was going to re-sign…obviously Penrith’s throwing a bit of a spanner in the works because they’re a pretty alluring club.”
“I would imagine David have to take a pretty significant haircut to go there because he’s on $1,000,000 on the Gold Coast and Penrith aren’t going to give David a million.”
When asked how long the Origin star has to make his decision, Read revealed that his get out clause expires at the start of this round.
“He’s got until the the start of round ten, so that’s Thursday night.”
