‘It’s Like They’re Panicking A Little Bit’ Aaron Woods Senses Queensland Nerves

Aaron Woods is very much in an early, jovial mood ahead of State of Origin Game 1.

LISTEN HERE!

Queensland Maroons first squad raised eyebrows around the rugby league world and Aaron Woods, a former NSW Blue, is very much happy with Billy Slater’s selections.

‘How good is it?

‘I love seeing it.

‘It’s like they’re panicking a little bit.’

High profile players like Kalyn Ponga, Kurt Capewell, Xavier Coates & Dane Gagai – all members of last year’s winning squad were all omitted.

And Woodsy couldn’t help but laugh at Queensland’s historically famous ‘pick and stick’ culture.

‘It’s funny, they always talk about loyalty.

‘[They] pick and stick but they haven’t done it.

‘We’re a bit different, we’ve actually gone back to the old team.’
