‘Use The Sin Bin’: Gorden Tallis, Ben Dobbin Call For Crackdown On Players Backchatting

Leading NRL journalist Ben Dobbin and rugby league great Gorden Tallis have called for referees and the NRL to crack down on players back chatting with match officials.

The pair both argued the game is seeing too many incidents where players other than the captain are arguing with referees, with Tallis suggesting it’s also a tactic to slow down the game.

“All they’ve got to do is use the sin bin and get them off, I don’t like the slowing down tactic,” Tallis said on Triple M’s Saturday Scrum.
