Gorden Tallis reacted angrily to Aaron Wood’s comments on Footy Talk League.
The former Blue expressed how delighted he was that Queensland Maroons had strayed away from their historic ‘pick and stick’ mantra, after head coach Billy Slater made a few changes to the team that won last year’s State of Origin.
LISTEN HERE:
‘They always talk about loyalty, we pick and stick, we’re Maroon, we stick to our same, they haven’t done it’ said Woods.
Though Gordie wasn’t having any of it on the current episode with Ben Dobbin.
’16 of 17 have played Origin,’ said Tallis.
‘Reece Walsh made it two years ago and hurt his hamstring.
‘They’re [all] replaced with Origin players, not rookies.
‘It’s Origin player for Origin player so we are picking and sticking.’
‘[Woods] should stick to his own team and the thing is,
‘Poor buggers are worried about us.’
