Leading NRL journalist James Hooper has confirmed the NRL has started its investigation after Eels playmaker Dylan Brown was charged with five counts of sexual touching without consent over an alleged incident at a Double Bay Hotel.

The NRL world was rocked on Sunday morning when a News Corp report first broke the story of Brown’s alleged incident while the playmaker was at the Golden Sheaf pub on Saturday night.
Hooper confirmed the NRL is aware of the incident, and revealed where the league is at in regard to the no-fault stand-down policy.
“They are currently awaiting further information surrounding these charges,” Hooper said on Triple M’s Sunday Sin Bin.
