Brad Haddin has revealed how Nathan Lyon was responsible for the Adelaide Oval lights being switched off during the night session of the first day of the Adelaide Test.
HADS REVEALS HOW NATHAN LYON WAS AT FAULT FOR THE ADELAIDE OVAL LIGHTS GOING OFF:
“I was speaking to the ground staff and it was all about Nathan Lyon,” Hads said on Willow Talk Extras after the first day of play in the Adelaide Test.
“Nathan Lyon went out for a hit, and they went to turn the lights on [for Lyon to bat in the nets], and whatever happened, they turned the wrong set off.”
MORE FROM THE ADELAIDE TEST:
As Hads tells it, with the lights out in the nets area, Lyon went back to ask about switching those back on before being informed on the gravity of the situation.
“Nathan Lyon said ‘I’ve gotta fix this so I can go out and bat in the nets’,” Hads continued.
“They politely said to Nathan ‘the lights are off on the ground, we’re not so worried about your hit at the moment!’”
MORE FROM WILLOW TALK:
Hads’s mail on the GOAT’s role in the Adelaide Oval blackout came from Willow Talk Extras, a show airing after every day’s play of the Australia v India Border-Gavaskar Trophy series.
