Triple M Footy news breaker Ryan Daniels has revealed the complex issues that would need to be worked through for Shai Bolton’s potential move to Fremantle from Richmond to happen.
RYAN DANIELS ON THE ISSUES AROUND SHAI BOLTON’S POTENTIAL FREMANTLE MOVE:
“Fremantle is the one I think he’d prefer to go to, and they have the draft picks to secure it,” Daniels said about Shai Bolton on Triple M Breakfast with Xav & Michelle.
“He went to them just a couple of weeks ago. There’s been some discussion that Fremantle are chasing him, [but] that’s not necessarily the case.
“They’ve got a lot of things going on, they’re interested in Chad Warner, they’re interested in Liam Baker… they’ve got a lot of stuff happening at Fremantle.”
MORE ON FREMANTLE:
Daniels explained several that there are several complicating factors to negotiate in any potential deal to make Bolton a Docker, including Richmond’s position on allowing the spring heeled goal kicker to leave.
“Richmond are digging their heels in,” he explained.
“I think they think that they can put the support around him without him having to move back here (Western Australia).”
Bolton was born in WA, and his dad Darren played two games for the Dockers in 1999.
MORE ON RICHMOND:
Daniels also discussed Bolton’s teammate Jack Graham looking to move to West Coast, the future of Eagles defender Tom Barrass, the Twitter pasting he copped from Collingwood fans and more.
