Accepting A Life-Threatening Disease: How Michael Klim Got His Life Back

Three years on from a life-changing diagnosis with a rare neurological disorder, Australian Olympic Gold Medallist Michael Klim has opened up on the challenges of living with CIDP, the initial shock, the support required and the road ahead.

In the wide ranging inspiring chat on The Howie Games with Mark Howard, an open and honest Klim spoke of the acceptance required to wrestle his life back.

“I may not surf again, I may not run again, but I can still do so many other great things,” he said.

“It wasn’t until I accepted I had to make a change, that I could move on.”
