A cabin crew member has been taken to hospital after Qantas flight from Sydney to Wellington noticed unusual smell.
QF163 departed before 7:00pm last night but started to turn back one hour into its journey, landing back in Sydney at 9:30pm.
The cabin crew member was hospitalised to undergo medical checks as a precautionary measure.

The airline said the pilot followed standard procedure and declared a priority landing.
The Boeing 737 was met by the aviation fire service on arrival in Sydney. There were no reports of smoke detected in the aircraft.
A Qantas spokesperson confirmed, “The aircraft landed safely and will be checked by engineers before returning to service.”
“Customers will be provided accommodation and re-accommodated onto the next available flight,” they said.
