Sydney’s lower north shore was plunged into chaos early Tuesday morning as a fatal car crash on Epping Road claimed the life of a man.
The incident unfolded just after 4am near the intersection of Epping Road and Mowbray Road following reports of a single-vehicle collision.

Tragically, the driver, who was alone in the car at the time of the accident, died at the scene.
The severity of the crash led to multiple road closures, causing traffic on the Hills Motorway (M2).
Commuters faced heavy delays during peak hours as Epping Road was shut down in the eastbound direction.
Additionally, Mowbray Road was closed between Epping Road and Whitfield Avenue.
The already strained traffic situation was further compounded by a car breakdown on the Lane Cove Tunnel off-ramp to the Pacific Highway around 8:11am.
As investigations into the crash continue, authorities urged motorists to steer clear of the affected routes and seek alternative paths.
