Pete Murray has just announced an enormous 55-date solo acoustic tour in support of his brand-new single, I Am Fire. The song, an emotional tribute to everyday heroes, sets the stage for Pete’s biggest tour ever, which will see him performing in every corner of the country from May to September 2025.
A Tour Like No Other: 55 Dates Across Australia
For the first time ever, Pete Murray will embark on a nationwide solo acoustic tour, delivering intimate performances in a mix of regional towns and major cities. The tour kicks off on Friday, May 9, in Darwin and will make its way across the Northern Territory, Victoria, Tasmania, Queensland, New South Wales, the ACT, and Western Australia, before wrapping up on Sunday, September 7, in the Blue Mountains.
With most shows being all-ages, fans of all generations will have the opportunity to witness Pete’s signature storytelling and soulful vocals in an up-close and personal setting.

Tickets for Pete Murray’s solo acoustic tour go on sale to the general public on Friday, March 21, at 10 AM local time via www.petemurray.com. Fans can also register for presale access, which begins on Thursday, March 20, at 10 AM local time.
‘I Am Fire’ – A Powerful Tribute to Everyday Heroes
Alongside the tour announcement, Pete Murray has also released his latest single, I Am Fire, offering fans a second glimpse into his upcoming body of work following 2024’s Wouldn’t It Be Good.
Speaking about the song, Pete explains:
“I just bought a Gibson 1971 Classical guitar before I recorded ‘I Am Fire’, and I knew this guitar had to be on this song. I love the classical guitar sound Rodriguez uses on his recordings, and that’s the vibe I was going for. The guitar created a real mood on the song that works well with the lyrics.”
Lyrically, I Am Fire is a tribute to individuals who stand up against oppression and fight for humanity, risking their lives for the greater good. Pete also dedicates the song to everyday heroes, including parents who selflessly support their children.
