Drake cancels remaining Australia and New Zealand shows

Rapper Drake has canceled the last four shows of his Anita Max Win Tour in Australia and New Zealand, citing a “scheduling conflict.”

The affected shows include Brisbane on March 4, Sydney on March 7, and two in Auckland on March 15 and 16.

These performances were the final dates of the 16-show tour.

Drake’s representative, in a statement to Rolling Stone AU/NZ and Ticketek, confirmed that efforts are underway to reschedule these dates and potentially add more shows. Ticket holders have the option to retain their tickets for the rescheduled performances or request a refund.

“We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience,” the statement said.

“Drake and the entire team have had an incredible time doing these shows and are excited to return soon.”

The cancellations follow speculation after tickets for the shows sold out overnight. This follows the Courier-Mail reporting that Drake’s stage equipment was scheduled to ship to Europe despite the remaining dates in Australia and New Zealand.

In the meantime, Ticketek has reassured customers that they will be notified once rescheduled dates are confirmed and that no action is needed for those keeping their tickets. Refunds can be requested through the website.

Drake has been touring Australia since early February, with performances in Perth, Melbourne, Sydney, and Brisbane.

His canceled Brisbane show would have been his third in the city, and Sydney’s was a bonus fifth performance. The Auckland dates were previously moved in January due to another scheduling conflict.
