Over the weekend, Jess played the role of Best Man at her close friends wedding. With Jess always priding herself on doing stellar speeches, she was taken back with mixed reviews from wedding guests on her speech.
“One woman said that was the best speech I’ve ever heard” says Jess.
However, not all feedback received was as positive.
“That was a bit of a roast.”
The premise of the speech was based around Jess’ friend evolving from a caterpillar to a beautiful butterfly.
Some of the examples used had “a couple of mentions of some ex partners” explains Jess.
“Which led half the crowd to think ‘wow that was a little rough.'”
