A 60-year-old man was arrested after visiting an antiques store and placing items from the shelves up his bottom then replacing them. The Marty Sheargold Show team explore the story of Mitchell C. Vest:
Mitchell was placed under a Vest… sorry, arrest, after store CCTV clearly showed him plucking a selection of items and putting them up his kilt – or is that a skirt? The store owner also said she personally witnessed the incidents, leaving her in shock.
The act caused over $200 of damage to the items, a make-up brush, bottle opener, and tobacco tin, which had to be destroyed.
The offence took place in Texas, USA and widely reported across US media. Vest had entered the store and according to police affidavits spent “hours” looking around the shelves.
Vest was charged with ‘Criminal Mischief’ and released after paying a $100 personal bond.
