Speaking on Dead Set Legends Adelaide with Tom Rockliff, Callum Ferguson and Thomo, Travis Head has opened up on his axing from the first Test in India.
“It was obviously a little bit of a surprise… I expected to go, and expected to play,” Head told the Dead Set Legends.
“It’s tough not to get the first crack at it. I felt like it was mine to own.
“To not get the first crack was slightly disappointing.”
Head also touched on opening the batting for his country, and the Aussies’ ODI Series against India.
“I wouldn’t have gone there expecting to miss the first Test, so to be opening the batting playing for Australia, I was happy to do it.
“The support was pretty overwhelming.”
