Iconic Australian singer, songwriter and producer Kasey Chambers has sat down with Jess Rowe in the latest episode of The Jess Rowe Big Talk Show podcast where she opened up about the highs and lows of her career and life.

Speaking about how music helped her get through difficult times, Kasey shared how experiencing a miscarriage triggered the onset of an eating when she was around 30-years-old.

“I had gone through losing a baby with my partner at the time,” she began.

“We had lost a baby at about twelve weeks, and I was quite devastated, as I know it’s a really common thing that a lot of women go through.

“But the main thing that whenever I talk to women… who’ve gone through that same thing, I think one of the main things that we all talk about is that it’s so surprising that you can become so attached to something so quickly, and then when it’s taken away, it’s devastating. And I think I turned a lot of that devastation and that pain into hatred for my body.”
