Triple M Footy news-breaker Damian Barrett joined the Marty Sheargold Show, discussing the AFL’s decision to end the investigation into historic racial allegations at Hawthorn.
The league called a snap press conference on Tuesday night, revealing no adverse findings against ex-club officials Alastair Clarkson, Chris Fagan and Jason Burt, following an 8 month saga.
“They finally got an outcome..” Barrett said.
Barrett says the next step will play out within the Human Rights Commission, requiring the First Nations families to go public with claims originally made through an ABC report.
“I’m critical of it, how [the AFL] have let it go for 8 months, and come up with effectively nothing other than them being removed from whatever legal action lies ahead.”
