While Brayshaw’s availability for a potential preliminary final and even his long-term playing future are still up in the air, it’s been positive signs in the past few days according to Gawn.
“We were really worried, obviously early,” he told The Marty Sheargold Show.
“He had a real bad first night… I think this is [concussion] number six and his fifth one was an eight-weeker.

“He’s sticking to the protocols and he hasn’t had a bad day yet.
“Technically he’s ticked off the first five days of a fourteen day protocol so he’s still looking like he could play in the prelim if we get there, which is so much more positive than what we thought on the initial night.”
If Brayshaw passes concussion protocols and the Demons beat the Blues on Friday night, the star midfielder will be available for a blockbuster preliminary final clash with Brisbane.
