After his teammate Jackson Hastings’ weekend injury from a hip drop tackle, Knights Lachlan Fitzgibbon mentions these tackles aren’t always deliberate via Tanya & Steve.

“No one goes intentionally to hip drop anyone…you got to bring defenders down anyway you can and sometimes it does get ugly.”
“In previous years you probably did see it, but it wasn’t policed.”
