With Flan, Ali and Spida back on Monday, we’re revisiting Spida’s Spray from June when he took on the judges of Australia’s Best Pie for picking something that offends him — a fish pie.
SPIDA’S SPRAY — FISH PIE:
“To the Baking Association of Australia, you know who you are, the BAA,” Spida started.
“You are an absolute disgrace!
“This is embarrassing… they’ve had a competition called Aussie Best Pie.
“300 bakeries, they’ve all put in their pie… they give this pie the victory… a curried fish pie.”

Spida reeled off a long list of things he said shouldn’t be considered in the best pie category — including pepper, mash and mushroom — before laying out his personal criteria.
“We are judging straight out pies,” he said.
“We are talking meat pies.
“If this pie hasn’t got lips and snouts and hooves and boobs and back ends and front ends — it’s not a pie!”
