When players are performing it’s one of the few problems selectors like to have when it comes to picking a team.
That can be said about Australia’s Test side, which will likely cause national selector George Bailey a headache or two for the fourth Test in Manchester, while former Aussie wicketkeeper Brad Haddin is properly stumped.
HEAD BRAD HADDIN AND ADAM PEACOCK BREAK DOWN DAY ONE AT HEADINGLEY ON THE WILLOW TALK PODCAST:
Australia have a wealth of fast bowling at their disposal with Pat Cummins, Mitch Starc, Scott Boland and Josh Hazlewood all bowling well.
The pace quartet has been rotated through the series so far and that’s likely to continue for the final two Tests.
Cameron Green has been steady with bat and ball but picked up key wickets in his first Ashes campaign in the UK, while his replacement in Leeds Mitch Marsh belted a bruising century on the opening day.
Green is out with a slight hamstring strain and should be fit for the fourth Test at Old Trafford, but Marsh’s scintillating knock will be hard to ignore.
