Triple M’s and Broncos legend Gorden Tallis has launched at the critics of Dragons coach Anthony Griffin, declaring it’s time for the playing group to face the scrutiny.
LISTEN HERE:
The Dragons and coach Griffin are feeling the heat after dropping both of the club’s pre-season matches just two weeks out from Round 1 of the home and away season.
And while Griffin has come under the firing line in recent times, with the club yet to taste finals football in the two seasons he’s coached since taking over from Paul McGregor, Tallis said now is the time the club and its critics should look at the playing group.
“Do you look at Anthony Griffin, who has been successful at other clubs, or do you look at the players?” Tallis said on LiSTNR’s Footy Talk League Podcast.
“They had Paul McGregor there, they had Wayne Bennett and Steven Price… how many more voices do that playing group need to hear? that’s my opinion.
“They keep on shooting the coaches.
“Clean your roster out. They’re obviously not listening.
“You tell me one of those guys, who seriously if they came on the market, a club is going to chase really hard?”
