“I Didn’t Know If I’m Ready To Put On Another Rep Jersey” Nicho Hynes On Origin Reality Check

Nicho Hynes opened up on his debut State of Origin last year for NSW Blues and the trouble that followed on Rush Hour’s Hero, Highlight & Hardship podcast.

LISTEN HERE:

Hynes was picked as the utility option for Game 1 but the half-bacl and was thrusted into the centres.

The Sharks star found out the hard way of playing out of position as Queensland Maroons were able to exploit a Blues right edge, and Hynes was brutally axed for the rest of the series.

“After what happened with Origin last year, I wasn’t ready to put on another rep jersey for a while,” said Hynes.

“That’s how much it impacted me.”

But Hynes was able to brush off his concerns after representing the Kangaroos alongside some of the best in the game, as he strives for a start in this upcoming State of Origin series.
