Broncos legend Gorden Tallis says he hopes Jarome Luai learnt a lesson after the playmaker avoided a suspension for making contact with a match official during Penrith’s 15-4 win over the Broncos.
LISTEN HERE:
Luai on Thursday night came under scrutiny when cameras captured the moment the 26-year-old was seen making contact with the back of sideline official Chris Sutton moments after a Penrith try in the first half.
Luai was hit with a Grade 1 Contrary Conduct charge and can accept only an $1800 fine if he accepts an early guilty plea, which would see him available for the Origin opener.
“It was unnecessary, it didn’t look good,” Tallis said on LiSTNR’S Footy Talk League Podcast.
