‘Most Of Australia Hate Me’ Mitch Marsh Reflects On Controversial Comments On The Howie Games

Mitch Marsh’s story of redemption is complete as he guided Australia to victory in the T20 World Cup final on Monday morning.

Marsh made an unbeaten 77 from just 50 deliveries to lock in Australia’s win against cross-Tasman rivals New Zealand.

The reception Marsh’s performance received from Aussie fans following the win is a far cry from how Marsh believed he was viewed by the public only 2-years ago.

‘Most of Australia hate me,’ Marsh told reporters at a press conference during the 2019 Ashes series.

Marsh joined Mark Howard on the Howie Games earlier in the year where he was asked about the now famous comments.

‘I did say it with a smile on by face in a joking manner, but I’d be lying that at times the way I’ve been perceived in the public as an Australian cricketer hasn’t got to me at times,’ Marsh told Mark Howard on the Howie Games.
