Rugby league great Gorden Tallis has questioned the Roosters and James Tedesco’s decision to rest during the Tricolours’ Round 20 defeat at the hands of the Storm last week, declaring “if you’re a leader of that club, you play”.

It comes after coach Trent Robinson hit out at critics questioning the decision during the week, after eyebrows were raised among media pundits with the decision made as the Roosters faced a crucial match to keep their finals hopes alive.
Tedesco returned to the side on Saturday in a 36-18 win against the Titans, keeping the club’s slim hopes of a finals football alive.
“It wouldn’t have happened If I was playing at the club, the good players play,” Tallis said on Triple M’s Sunday Sin Bin.
