Mike Hussey has told Willow Talk he’s been picking Ben Stokes’ brains about the selection of David Warner for the upcoming Ashes.
Warner has been included in the squad but there has been speculation about whether he is in Australia’s best XI for the tour, with others such as Travis Head and Marcus Harris contending for an opening spot.
However Huss – who joined Adam Peacock on the show – is currently coaching Stokes, the English Test skipper, with the Chennai Super Kings in the IPL.
“I don’t know if I should be saying this for public consumption!” he laughed.
“We’ve got Ben Stokes in our team, and I asked him ‘what do you reckon about David Warner’…”
