Speaking on his show the Rush Hour with Bernie, Blewey & Jars, Greg Blewett has paid tribute to Travis Head after his incredible century helped Australia to a sixth World Cup final win.
BLEWEY’S TRIBUTE TO TRAVIS HEAD AFTER HIS WORLD CUP FINAL CENTURY:
“It was our man Travis Head is just putting together an unbelievable couple of years,” Blewey said.
“I’ll just take you back: player of the series in the Ashes at home (in 2021/22).
“Player of the match in the World Test Championship against India in England, got a hundred in that.
“He broke his hand of course leading into the World Cup… they decided how important he was to that team, they carried him for over half that tournament, comes in first game and gets a hundred in the first game.
“Then he’s player of the match in the semi-final, then last night in the final.”

It wasn’t just with the bat that Head contributed, however.
“Before he batted he actually turned the game with a catch he took,” Blewey said.
“Rohit Sharma was on fire, 47 off 31 balls, was batting with Kohli at the time… People are gonna remember Trav Head now for the rest of their lives.”
MORE ON TRAVIS HEAD:
Bernie Vince was just as impressed by Head’s work off the field as on it.
“He was some interesting glasses when I last saw him on some social media,” Bern said.
“He’ll be having a great time, he deserves that,” Blewey agreed.
“He’ll enjoy the next two or three days.”
