Twenty-four hours on from his heated on-air bout with Rugby League Players’ Association boss Clint Newton, league legend Gordon Tallis says he is no clearer on what the RLPA wants in order to settle the current CBA dispute with the NRL.
Speaking on Footy Talk, Tallis vented his frustration with Newton as the players’s media boycott enters a second week.

Of Tallis’ main concerns with Newton and RLPA, he says the players don’t know what is causing the friction between the RLPA and the NRL, and that they should be better informed.
“I love the players,” Tallis says on Footy Talk. “I’m a player.
“But the players spend about $15 million a year pit of their own pocket to be represented.
“How do they think they’re getting represented at the moment?
“They need a new leader.”
