In 2020, Xerri was banned by the NRL for four years after he was found guilty of taking anabolic steroids.
‘It was four years ago now, the Bronson Xerri story,’ said Ready.
‘I was just making some random phone calls that morning and this bloke called me saying, someone has failed a random drug test.’
Though, Xerri will be welcomed back into the NRL circles next season.
The centre has already signed a two-year deal with the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs.
Xerri will be able to suit up for the Belmore based side after the expiration of his suspension.
