Adam O’Brien Explains The “Great Relationship” Between The Knights Team And Their ‘Old Boys’

Newcastle Knights Coach Adam O’Brien is looking for the team to build momentum in front of some famous and much-loved faces this weekend when ‘Old Boys Round’ hits McDonald Jones Stadium.

“120 Old Boys in the stands… we couldn’t dream of a better situation!” enthused O’Brien, speaking on Triple M Newcastle this morning with Tanya & Steve.

“They’re an outstanding group of men. We have a great relationship with them.”

Cronulla Sharks are the visitors this Sunday (4.05pm) in front of another sell-out crowd at McDonald Jones Stadium as the Knights aim to lock in finals footy.

The Knights Coach is confident and excited for the occasion, especially given the turnaround in his team’s fortunes over the season.

“We want to make the Old Boys proud and the whole town proud.”

O’Brien also spoke about Lachie Miller joining Leeds Rhinos in the English Super League, saying he is “happy [Lachie] found a strong team” and wishing the full-back well.
