Jessica Rowe: Why Luke Perry’s Death Hit Me So Hard

Why do we mourn people in the public eye?

This week on The Jess Rowe Big Talk Show, Jessica Rowe asks: why do we sometimes feel an enormous sense of loss when hearing that a celebrity has passed away?

It’s something I’ve been thinking about since the recent passing of Lisa Marie Presley, and want to talk through with you, because I know I can sometimes feel quite an emotional response when I hear that a celebrity has died. So why is it that this news has such a big impact on us?

Looking back at her own experiences with mourning the loss of a celebrity, Jess opened up about her reaction to the deaths of Luke Perry and Princess Diana and explored why she had such an emotional response to their passings.
