The Doggies kickstarted their season with a massive win at Belmore, is this a sign of better things to come for Canterbury or just a false dawn?
Gorden Tallis thinks it’s the former, he praised their effort as they put the hapless Gold Coast Titans to the sword in routing them on route to a 32-0 victory.
“They just competed harder than the Titans, that’s all you can ask for” said Tallis.
“So if I’m a Dogs fan from where they were the last couple of years to where they are now, I just think that they’ve taken baby steps forward.”
“In round one against Parramatta they tried really hard, yesterday they tried really hard – they competed for everything.”
